A Lesson Learned
The good thing about being an educator is you don’t just impart knowledge to your students but you also impart knowledge from them. Just like a while ago, my Japanese student told me the news about America’s budget deficit amounting to trillions of dollars. Considering that America’s condition is known to the whole world, it’s still interesting to know that people from other countries learned the news ahead of you. We also talked about the famous investor Jim Rogers and his fearless forecast that American bonds will soon become worthless in the world market. I didn’t want to sound bias to him so I just accepted his opinion regarding the matter. Lastly, we talked about the prices of agricultural increasing dramatically due to increasing demands in countries like China and India. Farm lands were also converted to real estate business, plus the growing number of population. It was indeed a good talk, I felt as if I’m talking to my economics professor in college.
